About Indigo
I'm Indigo, a community builder, nonprofit leader, educator, and advocate who believes some of the strongest solutions already exist within our communities. Sometimes what is missing is the connection between them.
Much of my work has centered on bringing people, organizations, resources, and opportunities together. I've worked across community outreach, nonprofit leadership, life-skills development, education, workforce readiness, wellness, and family support, always with the belief that people should not have to navigate difficult moments alone.
That same philosophy is what I bring to Esprit de Corps Foundation.
As Community Outreach Coordinator, I help EDC build relationships throughout Chicago, understand what communities actually need, connect families with resources, bring organizations to the same table, and turn those relationships into programs and opportunities that people can actually use.
I believe community becomes stronger when we stop asking who gets credit and start asking who we can bring together.
Why I S.E.R.V.E.
I S.E.R.V.E. because no one organization can meet every need, but together we can make sure fewer people fall through the cracks.
I've spent years connecting individuals and families with resources, opportunities, organizations, and people who can help them move forward. That work has shown me how powerful a single introduction can be.
Sometimes service means organizing an event. Sometimes it means finding a resource. Sometimes it means introducing two organizations that should have known each other years ago. And sometimes it simply means listening long enough to understand what someone actually needs.
At EDC, I want to help build a community where veterans, service members, military families, and the neighborhoods around them know there are people willing to show up, work together, and help.
Because when we move forward, we should always reach back and bring someone with us.
