Esprit De Corps Foundation (“Esprit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates espritdcf.org and related pages, forms, groups, events, and services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Community Standards
We are a veteran-led community. Treat others with respect. Do not harass, threaten, dox, spam, or post hateful or illegal content. We may moderate or remove content and may suspend or end access at our discretion.
User Content and Media Release

If you post, upload, or submit content, you grant Esprit a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, and display it in connection with our mission, with credit where feasible.

Many events and programs are photographed, filmed, or live-streamed. By attending, you grant Esprit the right to use your likeness and voice in any media for mission, education, fundraising, and promotional purposes. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us at check-in so we can accommodate you.
Health, Fitness, and Event Participation

Some activities involve physical exertion. You understand and accept the risks of injury or illness and agree to participate only if medically able.

You release and hold harmless Esprit, its officers, staff, volunteers, partners, sponsors, venue hosts, and vendors from claims arising out of participation, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

You agree to follow event rules and instructions. Alcohol rules and age limits apply where relevant. For minors, a parent or guardian must sign the event waiver.
Donations and Tax Receipts

Donations support Esprit’s mission. Receipts are issued for eligible gifts. Unless we explicitly agree otherwise, donations are unrestricted and may be used where needed most.

If a restricted project cannot be completed, Esprit may reallocate remaining funds to a similar purpose.

Refunds of donations are rare and considered case by case. Write donors@espritdcf.org within 30 days if there is an error.
Sponsorships and Partners

Sponsors and partners support our programs and the Esprit Recreation and Resource Center. Recognition and any naming opportunities are subject to written agreements, availability, brand guidelines, and continued mission alignment.

If multiple donors collectively reach a naming milestone, recognition may be shared through a Legacy Circle or similar installation.
Partner Office and Co-Use Space

Office and co-use space inside the Center is limited. Early contributors may receive priority.

Space is subject to application, mission fit, available capacity, background and safety checks where appropriate, a written agreement, and ongoing office fees that help sustain the Center.

Esprit may relocate, limit, or end access to space for safety, nonpayment, or mission reasons, as permitted by the agreement.
Memberships, Groups, and Community Areas

Some areas of the site or Center are for members. Benefits, dues, and rules are posted on the page or agreement.

We may remove posts or remove access for violations of these Terms or community standards.
Shop: Purchases, Shipping, and Returns

We sell merchandise and tickets through our store or third-party processors. Prices, taxes, and shipping appear at checkout.

Risk of loss passes at delivery by the carrier.

Returns for physical merchandise are accepted within 30 days for unused items in original condition unless stated otherwise on the product page. Tickets and digital items are usually nonrefundable unless an event is canceled or rescheduled.

We may use affiliate links and may earn a commission if you make a purchase. This does not change your price. We only promote products or services we believe support our mission, but inclusion does not equal endorsement or guarantee.
Third-Party Services
Our Services link to third-party sites and tools, such as payment processors, registration platforms, or social networks. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content.

Intellectual Property
The Esprit name, logos, designs, text, photos, and videos are owned by Esprit or our licensors. You may not use them without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Esprit and our officers, directors, staff, volunteers, partners, and sponsors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred dollars.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Esprit and our personnel from claims arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
DMCA and copyright complaints
If you believe content infringes your copyright, email legal@espritdcf.org with: your contact info, a description of the work, the URL of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act, and your signature.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to conflicts rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in Cook County, Illinois, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You and Esprit agree to bring claims only in your individual capacities. No class actions or class arbitrations.
Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The “Effective date” tells you when they changed. Your continued use means you accept the changes.
Disclaimers
Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
